I am considering going on for my FNP but only to go into this realm of medicine. Hello!! so I am an RN, BSN in NY- I work on a telemetry floor and will have two years of experience this upcoming October. Lately I have been itching to apply for positions for critical care (main interests either SICU or MICU) and have also been looking to relocate. I was wondering if anyone has updated information on salaries/job satisfaction in hospitals in and surrounding Raleigh, NC and Charlotte, NC. from what I have been finding it seems as though I will take a drastic pay cut which is okay for me if cost of living will be lower. I am particularly interested in Duke, Wakemed and UNC Hospitals and would appreciate any information about these hospitals and what it is like to work there. any information is welcome! haha :) happy nursing!
