  1. I’m not sure if anyone has brought this up cause I quite reading these messages when I got denied. But from what I’ve heard, if you’re still waiting to get fingerprinted, and your appointment is far out, try and just do a walk in. So many people from the school I WAS accepted too have done that and got their blue cards pretty quickly.
  2. Heather Brown for Tomball! Add me please
  3. I applied at HCC too. I was accepted there as well, but location wise, Tomball made more sense because of traffic. Regardless, when applying, grades matter!! And to pass, they don’t give any cushion. I failed with a 74.2!! Twice!! And they don’t care. Aced clinical, but not theory. They don’t care. You have to pass both. It’s hard, but it can be done. Just devote yourself to it and it’ll will happen!
  4. I went to Cy-Fair and didn’t pass the third semester of med surg. I have to start all over. I applied at cy-fair again, with a 7.68, and I was NOT accepted. I was, however, accepted to the Tomball location. I have heard more positive reviews about Tomball so I am excited to start this new journey. I guess my advice here is that this whole thing is no joke. Study your *** off. Don’t take anything for granted (cause I did) and just believe in yourself. I went through a divorce my first time around and I have 3 kids. Life WILL 100% get in the way; always remember to put your own priorities first! We will all accomplish this goal! It might not be at the same time, but it will happen if you believe in yourself. Do. Not. Ever. Give. Up.
  5. I got accepted to Tomball, but Cy-Fair was my first choice. My score was 7.68. anyone heard from Cy-Fair yet?
  6. Hey! I applied and got letter of intent today. I think the deadline in early April, not sure of the exact date. I would apply as soon as possible because there is a lot of paper work that needs to be done in order to be officially accepted.
  7. I JUST GOT MY ACCEPTANCE!!!! Wahoo! Good luck everyone!
  8. Do ya'll know if they send acceptance letters, or acceptance emails, or both?
  9. Heather Brown - CyFair - 7.632 Totally checking like crazy!!
  10. Congrats! Same score I got too! And yes, I got the no-reply email too.
  11. I don't know anything about the Hep B accelerated, but I do know that showing proof of at least your first shot is enough to get accepted. You just have to make sure you complete the series before the start of the program. I had to get the series of shots, but I started in April, so I am already done with the three shots.
  12. Awesome!! I think my teacher is Alan Collins....not the best reviews, but I needed the night class.
  13. Hey everyone!! I just finished A&P 1 yesterday, and I received an A!!!! I am so excited. So that makes my total score a 7.6. I am just waiting for the grades to be posted so I can finish the application. Anyone taking A&P 1 should definitely look for Dr. Erik Hoyer (Cy-Fair). Seriously the best teacher. He is very clear on what to expect on tests, and everything is based off of his notes. Anyone taking A&P 2 and Micro this fall?? I am taking both classes at night. Good luck to everyone that has applied!! Now we wait....
  14. Thats a great score! I am only applying to CyFair also. If I get an A in A&P 1 (in it right now) then my overall score would be 7.6! Im getting nervous, and anxious!
  15. Hey!! Don't get discouraged, this is a hard class, and it is really fast over the summer. We can totally study together if you want! I didn't get a lab quiz score yet, but my lab practical was 61/62. Since on the syllabus it says 89.5%-100% is an A, 895/1000 would be equivalent.
  16. Oh yeah, that was a dumb one. There should have been a question with it. I put right lung. Who knows what they were wanting. On the cell one, yes I put cholesterol...the other was protein I think. Ugh.
  17. Hey! Sorry I just saw this. I feel pretty good about it. Some of the questions were kind of vague so I hope I was answering correctly. I have been obsessively checking my D2L for a grade, but nothing yet. Do you remember which ones you were stuck on?
  18. I will bring you my books tomorrow! And download (pay for) the Pocket Prep app. I will show you that tomorrow too.
  19. Do you have any study books for the HESI?? I can bring mine for you if you want. Ive written in them, but they will still help you.
  20. 85 is good also!! Good Job. A in Eng, A in A&P = 4.0 HESI - you add up all your scores and divide by 5 to get your average, except Critical thinking, then divide the average by 25 and that will give you your points for the HESI. So for me, I had 94 Grammar, 94 math, 90 reading, 88 vocab, 88 Anatomy = 454/5 = 90.8/25 = 3.6 GPA 4.0 HESI 3.6 Total = 7.6 Now I am worried about the Lab practical tomorrow!!
  21. really?? that's so funny!! I got a 92%. What about you?
  22. I think that is a great score!! Im working my butt off to get an A in A&P1 right now, and if that happens, my score would be 7.6. Not that much higher than yours. Liz, Im not sure how many people get accepted into CyFairs program, but what comes to mind is 50....I think that is what my advisor said, but cant remember. 80 would make me feel better!
  23. Thats awesome @zineb21!! That's very encouraging! I am a mom of 3, and those are the only two classes that I am taking in the fall, so I hope I do well!!
