Just wanted to write this because I wish I saw a post like this before I took NCLEX. so I wasn't the person with the highest grades in school, I had mediocre B- most semesters throughout nursing school. I'm not a good test taker, I barely scored high enough on my TEAS. i was getting so nervous for NCLEX, like I couldn't function anymore. I was getting an average of 56% on every practice test that I took. I used uworld and hurst. My hurst scores were Q1: 69/125 Q2: 69/125 Q3: 76/125 Q4: 74/125 and the two big tests on uworld I got a 64% on both of them, but I would take 50-75 question tests everyday and I got the average of 56% on all of those. i kept reading on here of people getting much higher scores than me and still not passing, so I was very discouraged. It was raining the day of my NCLEX, so I was even more stressed out because I hate driving in the rain. Anyway, I got in there, got to 79 or 80 questions in only 60 minutes (I don't remember because it literally just shuts off and I thought the computer broke). I only had 14 select all that apply, which made me think I failed because everyone else I know had 25-35 select all that apply questions and theirs cut off at 75. so I waited a couple hours, gave my friend my credit card and asked her to sign me up to take NCLEX again to see if it would let me, it didn't! So I got on here and started reading about how the trick doesn't work all the time, so I started freaking out again. i set an alarm on my phone for every hour, and every hour I checked on the Florida department of health website for the little pass or fail sign... it was finally 7am and BOOM THERE IT WAS... I PASSED!!! so moral of the story... don't let bad practice test scores get you discouraged, because if I can pass this.. so can you. Just hoping this gives someone the confidence I needed before the test! - Jordan, BSN-RN
