  1. Not for the MEPN program. Students would give the NCLEX exam at the end of the program and apply for the license. I am not a RN.
  2. Hey, I have a bachelor's in Microbiology from India. I was working there in a research lab. So i dont have any direct healthcare experience.I was thinking of pursuing CNS with the parent-child or psych option.
  3. Hey Janey, MEPN is master's entry-level program in professional nursing. It is meant for individuals with bachelor's degrees in fields other than nursing. It is a 2 year program and prepares students to be generalists. It is also called the MEPN-CNL program(clinical nurse leader). Do u have most classes online and how has the faculty been so far?
  4. Hello, I just got accepted for the MEPN program in CSU Dominguez hills,CA. Was hoping if anyone else who applied, got their official letter of acceptance from the university. Any advice from people already into similar programs? ....I start this fall. Thanks
  5. Hey Saroj, I have a degree in Microbiology and have work experience in research ,from India. i first started considering Nursing because of good job prospects and the work flexibility . I finished my prereqs in 2 semesters and infact just got accepted for the MEPN program in CSUDH. Its a master's program and you get to apply for the RN license at the end of 2 years of the program, obviously after one clears NCLEX.So I would suggest since you already have a bachelor's degree go for the master entry level programs. Hope this helps. Good luck, Rajni
  6. Hi , I am on a H4 visa which does not allow me to have a social security number in US but permits me to go to school here. My question is whether I can give the NCLEX exam in california without having to submit the social security number? As of now the website states that forms without the SSN will not be processed. I am getting my prerequisites done at present and am hopeful of getting in to the nursing program this fall. I dont want to complete the nursing program only to find out I cannot give the exam. PLS HELP!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks.
