  1. Hi everyone! New grad RN here applying for jobs! I currently work for a tenet hospital as a PCA and had an interview for a full time cardiac step down RN position. It went well, she said she had to check with HR to make sure there weren't any applicants from her unit that had applied but to email her on Monday and she would let me know if it was mine or not. Well, I recently found out that an older nurse that works with my husband in a different hospital with years and years of experience has applied for the same position. She actually used to work on this unit previously. Apparently she is very hard to get along with however. She hasn't been called for an interview but maybe this manager hasn't seen her application yet. My question is this - what are the chances of her getting the position applying from outside of the hospital versus me as an internal applicant? She clearly has much more experience and is better qualified. I'm crushed! Pray for me! 🤞🏼🤞🏼
  2. Thanks everyone for the positive thoughts! I found out this morning that I passed!
  3. I got a couple delegation, but mostly prioritization, and "which response by the nurse is most appropriate..." & "which response by the patient indicates effective teaching"
  4. My school has an 85% pass rate, last years class had a 100% pass rate. I did okay, an 85 average..
  5. I took my NCLEX this morning at 8am. I finished in 75 questions at 9:01am. I had 17 SATA and while I wasn't really 100% sure of a lot of them I didn't find the questions got very hard.. I did the Pearson trick 3 hours after I got out and I got the "good" pop up. I'm still skeptical though. I thought it was going to be much harder. All I can think was it should have been harder ... so I mustn't have done well .. ugh.
  6. My test is this Friday & I have been doing kaplan practice questions for the last 3 weeks getting 50s - 60s. Yesterday I did questions from 1pm- 10pm in the library allll day long. I can't help but be discouraged that with all of my questions I haven't improved my scores. I'm feeling way less confidence today than I was on Monday. I can't even bear the thought of failing this test. I still don't know most of the medications being thrown at me, there's too much content to even begin to think of knowing it all. I am stressed out to the max right now. Any advise or tips are welcome. Please!
