This is unquestionably a breathtaking and spectacular recount of the last moments of a man I have known for a few years. Dear SpotAngel, you have done a marvelous job describing how you took part in your uncle’s preparation for the final journey to his Heavenly adobe. Your words brought tears to my eyes multiple times. These days it’s very hard to see such a solid link between an uncle and a niece. You are a special person with love of God and care for others, who is a role model for others who want to uphold relationship with siblings, family, neighbors and friends.

There is no doubt that Nursing is one of the most inspiring and fulfilling careers ever created. However, some of them do not feel fulfilled being a nurse all day at work. Discouragement, disappointment, failure, and setbacks—these are all things that they have to deal with at some points in their lives. Working as a nurse means signing up to a life that barely pauses. While nurses are strong and hopeful people, challenging times frequent and nurses find themselves exhausted and needing encouragements to pick them up. If you feel like what you are contributing to this world is not significant, remember that your work as a nurse is essential in making this world feel like home especially for people needing refuge. Dear spotangel, I am speechless after reading the story of Ted. Great post. I really like your point of view! And I find your opinion quite interesting! Most of the times people don't realize what mentally challenged people go through...their challenges, likes, dislikes, hobbies, little pleasures...you have made a genuine attempt in pleasing Ted with your valuable presence and professional advises. It's remarkable that you have made a difference in his life, and many more like him in our society. It's very hard to find nurses who listen to their patient's concerns with empathy, hold their hands during a procedure and comfort them, or give them a reassuring hug. The nursing profession is as much about kindness and caring for the whole person as it is about medical and technical knowledge. You are on the top of the chart SpotAngel.
