1. Thank you, but, unfortunately, no. I'm too old for direct accession at this point. Something will work out, it always does. Right?
2. I'm not sure about an alternative list, but I just got an email stating I wasn't accepted. Bummer. Good luck to all that are still in the race.
3. You got an acceptance letter already? From NEU/ USAGPAN? I was under the impression those weren't sent out until after the Board meets in OCT, since admission is dependent on Board selection. Are you a Direct Accession candidate?
4. Yes, LTC Adams has been quick to respond to the few emails we've exchanged. You could also try to call the USAGPAN front desk @ 210-221-5377. Good luck!
5. I haven't heard of a December board. I only know of the June and October boards. Sorry, that is a bummer. Hopefully all comes through in time for Oct!
6. Have you reached out to LTC Thompson ([email protected]) at Fort Bragg yet? He's the Phase 2 Director. Or LTC Adams ([email protected]) at USAGPAN? He's the Deputy Director for Admissions. I'm sure either one of them would be willing to help you. Or see about doing your Phase 2 Interview at a different location? Also, when you go for your Phase 2 interview, you get orders (DD Form 1610). Don't burn bridges, but I think your employer has to legally let you off work. My manager is current Air Force Reserves with 15+ years in. He's been super helpful navigating the military side of this application process. When I was trying to cover my shifts, he asked for a copy of my orders. Said if I couldn't cover them, I'd be okay with that documentation. It wouldn't be held against me, I'd just be taken off the schedule. Good luck!
7. They are at Fort Bragg. Other locations may be different.
8. If you're on Instagram, search for #usagpan. A guy on there posted his acceptance letter for this year. I assume he went before the June 2017 board. His acceptance letter from NEU/ USAGPAN is dated 31JUL2017. If it's similar for us, we should hear in NOV/DEC, since our board is in OCT. A 2016 grad told me she found out NOV of the same year she applied. But you're right, regardless, we have to wait and see.
9. I would imagine we won't hear anything until after the Army board meets 31OCT2017. I've been told maybe November. I think there was an Army board in June this year as well, and a few people got acceptance letters in late July. @FLnursing2015, does that sound right? When was your board and when did you find out?
10. If you look at post #113 on this thread, I detailed my experience at Fort Bragg.
11. I had my Phase 2 at Fort Bragg last month. It was a great time. Good luck!
12. How'd it go?
13. Well, today's the deadline for application. Fingers crossed and good luck to everyone!
14. Antigone823, Did you get things squared away?
15. You might also want to reach out to LTC Adams, DNP, CRNA ([email protected]). He's the Deputy Director for Administration at the USAGPAN. He's been very helpful to me, and he can help facilitate your Phase 2 interview as well if needed. Good luck!
