  1. I have been away from the NCLEX for 7 years, after graduating. There are sooooo many ways to prep for the NCLEX, but I am have tried many of them. Fully aware that persistence pays off, but I am struggling to get back at the books. Any suggestions short of reregistering for school? I am planning on purchasing books to read (regularly) and thoroughly... I think my biggest problem was selection, when it came to answering the questions.... I had a hard time forgetting what I knew from prior experience (EMS, Firefighter).. It was hard to dummy down for the NCLEX..
