  1. It is also helpful to be able to know the EKG rhythms through text descriptions such as "the patient has wide or narrow complex tachycardia" vs just being able to know the rhythm by sight.
  2. You could call the school perhaps and let them know your situation?
  3. No it has not, "application under review".
  4. I live north west of Minneapolis a few hours and have not received anything yet, driving me nuts.

The Barron's book I found helpful along with the he passccrn book/online material. Barron's gave the down and dirty and easy to understand information that will be on the test vs being overloaded by information from passccrn. I did find it helpful however to pound out as many questions as I could online from passccrn. Good luck.
  6. I'm still hanging out in "under review" limbo as well.
  7. I've used medEd for my SCRN and I believe it was pretty well round study review material wise. I guess I would assume they would have a fairly good CCRN review since it is a more popular exam. I used passccrn and barons. Barons doesn't give you a lot of info but it gives the good "down and dirty" info that you really need to know for exam and does not over load you.
  8. When you have 4-7 patients on a medical unit it's almost impossible to remember every little tid bit. I print off thier "summary" or "story", write out thier actual name vs initials, code status, and highlight thier room number so I can whip my papers out if I need to write down somthing or report somthing on them. Make checks on your paper to keep your charting on tract (assessment, care plan, I&Os, meds). I remember when I used to think I can't wait to tell patients/family I have more then 3,6,12 months of experience:) when I was a new grad. Things should level out, remember you do what you can on your shift and the next shift can help out too.
  9. Absolutely not! Most can be done online and some at your own pace!
  10. I wore a charcoal suit I picked up at express, a black blouse, black watch, diamond earrings, and wedges. Also wore my hair down and straight since that was how most of the female facility hair was in heir website pictures.
  11. Like the "Cvru" said I'd go straight adult ICU, we have had many PICU/NICU nurse come down to our ICU wanting to go to CRNA school and find out they are terrified of adults and go back to the NICU/PICU. Best just to learn adults in my opinion since most likely that be your end target audience.
  12. Well the email did say "notify "most likely" by then end of June", I'm sure they are going to stick to their word at this point and wait till the end of June :)
  13. I searched too and this post never popped up until now! Good luck all who are waiting to hear news!
