Hello LhetzP, I understand where you are coming from, you are certainly right we all are different and trying to reach a goal, so first and foremost don't give up, yes there are states where you can attempt the nclex without remediation I know NY, HI. For those that chose to rain on your parade with negative comments may have passed the nclex but very well can be one of the worst nurses there is(I've ran into many and they will never admit how many times they actually took the test). Before you attempt the test again, make sure you do questions everyday from the all categories. I used Hurst, Uworld, Saunders, LaCharity, Lippincott so you see there is no one thing that can give you what you need( million dollar industry)alot of money paid out trying to get this done (believe me I know from experience), I found content is everything and thats where I focused most. So keep your head up and stay prayed up and you will pass. Good Luck !!!

Pass NCLEX 8th time
Hello Everyone, I was wondering for those that have attempted the nclex multiple times, is your state requiring that you remediate, mine does after the third attempt, do anyone know if you can elect a different state to test? Remediation is very costly in my state starting from $1200-$2000. I am all for remediation as it just may help to find out what you are missing, yet there has to be another alternative at least I hope so, mainly due to having to pay for re-testing fees as well. Thanks for your responses !!!

nclex remediation
Hello RNNPICU, I appreciate you taking the time to respond to my post, and yes I am diligently taking measure to build on my content level and figure out where I am going wrong. Thus far I have used Hurst (60%), Saunders(70%) and Uworld (50%). Being the remedial courses is so expensive and unaffordable for me presently I have to rely on all the material I currently have, but thanks again, I'm positive I will be joining the amazing family of nurses real soon! Take care!!!

nclex remediation
Hello everyone, I am seeking advice regarding nclex remediation, I read on the FBON website if you have 3 unsuccessful attempts you must do a remedial course (regardless of jurisdictions). This is the first I have seen this , and reading other post where people elected to test in states that does not require remediation. I am hesitant to test being this will be my third attempt and not to mentioned I called all of the approved providers in my area which the prices start at $1600-$1800 dollars and require clinicals. This is absolutely outrageous as if we haven't spend enough money paying for school. Any advice would be helpful and thanks in advance for your response!!!

Failed nclex
Hello Everyone, This is my first time posting on this forum, although since studying for nclex I've read alot of encouraging threads to obtain information on what is a good source to review. Although I'm devastated that I recently failed the nclex, I remain faithful that my season will come and I will recieve that pass status (but I must admit it hurts alot)!! I am just seeking advise today on study methods, I have never been the good test taker, yet God has brought me this far. I've studied with Uworld, Hurst, Kaplan, Saunders with and overall percentage ranging from 50-70%, so I'm at a loss as to what to do. Thanks for responding to my post
