  1. Hi Gnurse, Would you mind sharing your company that owns the 9 SNFs? Thanks!!
  2. I submitted it late July 2016... Quite the process!!
  3. Wow, thank you all for your comments and responses! I have sought out a lawyer that deals specifically with the California board of nursing to help eliminate some of the probationary terms I am looking at facing. I hopefully will receive my ATT numbers soon so I will be able to finally take my nclex in the next 2-3 months (although I wont know my results until about 6 months). In regards to my timeline, I picked the worst possible time to be an idiot. I graduated in august 2016 and got a DUI in October 2016 and did not hear back from the bon until the first week of June 2017
  4. I am not actually sure if they would be easier. I have just heard how tough CA bon can be and was trying to see if anyone with a dui has had better luck with another state
  5. Hi, I had just received my denial letter from California and am wondering if it is worth it to go through the appeal process and attempt to land a job in California on probation or just switch and apply to take my nclex in Colorado? I had made the poor decision to drink and drive and am now paying for it. I understand the seriousness and would appreciate it if the negative comments were left to a minimum! This is a very devastating time and I hope some of you can shed some light on my decision. Thank you!
  6. It was a misdemeanor. I had it dropped down to impaired driving (which is basically the same thing). I did alcohol evaluations, counseling, madd classes, alcohol highway safety, in addition to not drinking at all and therefore the judge did not give me any probation and the lowest fines. Although I am not sure if this will make a difference in their decision. And this is the only thing on my record.
  7. Thank you for your quick response!! Are there states that do not give probation or that are faster in the process in regards of allowing me to take the nclex?
  8. Looking for some help.. I graduated nursing school in August 2016 and got a dui in October 2016. I am from Michigan but applied for my license in California and am now realizing I am more than likely going to be denied to take the nclex. I am wondering if anyone knows if it is worth it to go through the 3 year probation and try and get a job in California or if I should switch to another state? Another question I have is can I start an application in another state right now if I haven't yet received an answer from the BON if my application is denied or not? And does anyone know if there are states that are more lenient and would let me take the nclex right away?? And I know the extent and the seriousness of my decision. I am extremely sorry and embarrassed and would really appreciate the negative comments to be minimal. Thank you guys! I am looking forward to your responses!!
