A few things to consider: 1) Nursing homes in the UK are very different to nursing homes in the Philippines. It is more like working in a hospital setting only less stressful and much more personable (see links below) 2) NHS pay band 5 nurses roughly £11 an hour, whereas nursing homes pay between £14-£16 an hour and as pandabear mentioned will also increase on a yearly basis (this could be a the discretion of the manager). 3) A nursing home is a good stepping stone if you want to eventually move to a hospital setting. In other words, it is a good place to start. NHS is better if your primary motivation is career progression. Have a read of these two articles. The agency that I am signed to (Brookes Recruitment) are able to assign the COS prior to the DL. I think they just need to know that applicants are being proactive with submitting documents to NMC portal. It ultimately depends on the employer really. Some employers wont' assign the COS until DL has been issued. Maybe try contacting Brookes.

Have you recieved your decision letter yet? When did you submit your documents to the NMC portal? I hear it usually takes them 70 days to process the documents before they issue the decision letter. Hopefully you'll get yours soon!

Hi Wency, did you find a training provider in the end? If not try Brookes Recruitment in Birmingham. They provide OSCE training on site and their fees are pretty good too. Their trainer has an excellent pass rate. See Brookes Health Care. The website doesn't actually advertise their OSCE training so probably best to drop them an enquiry. All the best x
