A few things to consider: 1) Nursing homes in the UK are very different to nursing homes in the Philippines. It is more like working in a hospital setting only less stressful and much more personable (see links below) 2) NHS pay band 5 nurses roughly £11 an hour, whereas nursing homes pay between £14-£16 an hour and as pandabear mentioned will also increase on a yearly basis (this could be a the discretion of the manager). 3) A nursing home is a good stepping stone if you want to eventually move to a hospital setting. In other words, it is a good place to start. NHS is better if your primary motivation is career progression. Have a read of these two articles.
