  1. Calling all you Mama Nursing Students (UConn CEIN/BS)! I need your help...

    Hi Mama Nurse Student Friends! I am currently a full time working mom with a 10 month old son. I am strongly considering a second career in nursing. I am looking at the UConn CEIN/BS program and want to apply. However, I AM HAVING SO MUCH ANXIETY ABOUT IT. I know it is a one year intensive program and so I just am so nervous about doing well while having to juggle mommy-hood. Also, I don't think working while in the program is even feasible so having to support our family on just my husband's income makes me second guess this decision. Any Mama's do it and live to tell the tale? Looking for any and all advice I can get. I am so excited about the prospect of becoming a nurse but so hesitant that it will too much to handle. Also, after you went into nursing, was it hard for you mamas to make time for families? Would love some insight into having a family and balancing a career in nursing as well. Thank you!!
