So after I got the email, I went to the student center and I had stuff in the to do list. Have to pay the deposit and accept admission. Eeeek! Good luck to everyone! I think everyone's emails are coming in slowly but surely. I have a friend I work with who got a call that hasn't gotten email yet.

Update. My application status has changed to "congratulations on your acceptance to the university". Still no email! ?

Yes I had a very similar convo. I took away that I am also in. There is a "physical assessment" class that we need to take before we can start clinical. We can take it once fall semester starts (go once a week to campus for 8 or 9 weeks) or knock it out over Summer as an intensive class (2 weeks, mon-thurs 9-5/6). I am leaning towards this option because I have kids and still work full time in ED. I'm trying to go per diem, but that's a whole other stressful convo.... he did mention, if there are 10 students in an area, we could take the physical assessment class at an agreed upon location, asynchronous, meaning we wouldn't have to commute to SSU. That's why I'm asking who lives in the area. I know 2 other people who live in Yuba city who have applied and I know at least one is interested in doing the class over Summer. I think he said it would be last week of July/first week of August.

I got a call yesterday. Same experience as Mistucar. I know he is doing these calls while out of town, so don't give up hope! April 1st is deadline. Anyone live around Sacramento who has applied?

I am feeling discouraged ? I did not get a call. I have chatted with him over email since I attended the Q and A in December. Our last convo was me asking about open university and the timeline for application. This was his response. "Admission evaluations start next week and I hope to have conversations with candidates in March and final offers, wait list, and denials done by April 1. I have a meeting with the Dean next week to see how much I can expand the program. Stay tuned,” (this was on 2/20)

I see where you are coming from but I'm definitely not trying to brag. I am truly concerned about getting in. All of my eggs are in sac state's basket. And the fact that there is new criteria and we have no statistics to go off of is an uneasy feeling. The new criteria will be bad to some, but good for many (as far as the grade omission)
