  1. thank you. thank you, thank you!! i am moving to san francisco as well. i am so glad to hear everything worked out for you. i plan on taking the NCLEX here in may or june and moving in july. i don't know when to start applying because i don't know when i'll be able to go out there for interviews. any suggestions??? i am so glad you love it there. hopefully, i will too. plus, i am moving out with a roommate so that will cut down on cost.
  2. thank you so much! i found so much encouragement in your message and i am very exciting. i'm still scared to death, but i know if i plan well and really want to make the move, i can do it. now, i just need to look for a job and focus on graduation. i think a teaching hospital would be a wonderful place for me...i love to learn and know that there is so much for me to learn as a new grad. thanks again!!
  3. thanks so much for the advice. i do understand that it will be expensive, but i am scared that if i stay in kc i will settle here and never travel or experience other parts of the country? do you enjoy sf?? any downfalls??

  5. Hello! I am a senior nursing student from Kansas City and graduate in May. I would love to move to California following graduation but don't know how to go about looking for jobs. Anyone have any ideas on hospitals in/near San Francisco?? Any pointers on moving to CA?? Thanks!! Steph - KCstudent
  6. thanks wayne! i have contacted many traveling agencies but they all require 1-2 years experience as an RN. i want to move immediately following graduation so i don't settle into Kansas City and end up here forever. thanks for the advice. Steph - KCstudent
