Thank you for your advice! Definitely taking the second route

Currently I am a pre-nursing student (just changed from a business major in my 2nd semester ever of college) and I have two options. First Option: (expedited) Take General Chemistry, Biology, and Developmental Psychology in the summer to help get me on track to graduate in 4 years with the rest of my class of 2020 peers. This means I would apply in February of 2018 or the second option (one extra year) Take Biology in the summer and the rest of the Nursing Pre-Reqs this fall and just apply for the Nursing program at the University a year later (in February of 2019). This option allows me to take a minor in business as I have more time. I think the second option is better for my Science GPA and just for my understanding all together, plus it allows me to use some of the credits I earned as a business major towards a business minor. However, I am unsure whether or not taking I will be taking too much time and whether that or not that will matter when I apply to be accepted into the Nursing program. Also please feel free to leave any helpful tips or advice for a pre-nursing student like myself. *The reason why I never entered college as a Pre-Nursing major is because my father was unsupportive of my choice to major in Nursing. It wasn't until January where I started doubting my choice as a Business major and wanted to change it to Pre-Nursing.*
