  1. At a crossroad, just finished BSN

    LadyOfTheFlashlight posted a topic in Nursing Informatics
    I just finished my BSN and was looking at the different options I have before me at this time. I had planned on going forward and eventually going to NP school, but I'm a bit wary as I'm already feeling a bit fizzled from constantly seeing poor outcomes and people not caring for themselves and I know it would be probably much worse for me as an FNP because that stuff doesn't stay at work at that point. Looked at nursing infomatics degree, saw they make a comparable amount to an FNP, is this true? If so, what types of jobs do they generally have? I live in a rural area so I've never met anyone with this degree. I am great at 'detail' work so it may be a fit for me. Anyone have any advice?
