University of South Alabama DNP Fall 2021
I actually applied for a post-master’s certificate, but I have been told admissions works the same way. I’m going for Women’s Health. ?. It’s between this and going to midwifery school at Marquette. I’m really nervous about having to find my own preceptors, but other than that this program feels like a perfect fit for me. Fingers crossed for both of us!

I’m in the second group too. Have you heard anything at all from admissions? I only got the email two weeks ago saying they are going to review apps the next week.

University of South Alabama DNP Fall 2021
Ugh... that really stinks. I honestly don't know what I could possibly do to improve my chances of getting in at this point. I teach undergraduate nursing while also working in a nurse run sexual health clinic. And my GPA is pretty almost perfect. This makes me want to cry... If I knew my application was lacking in some respect I would totally get it, but I'm probably going to just have to find a different program even though this one was the dream. Good luck to all of you who have been accepted! You're all going to make waves in the nursing profession!

University of South Alabama DNP Fall 2021
Is this information you got directly from the university? I submitted my supplemental application on February 18 but haven’t received an acceptance or a rejection letter. When I reached out to the admissions team they just said “we only communicated with wave 1 so far” so I was holding out hope that I’m in wave 2. Ugh..... I think I’m gonna have to pay big bucks to go to Marquette instead. ?

Does anyone know when post-masters certificate applicants find out? I already have a generalist MSN and applied to the WHNP post-graduate certificate and haven't heard anything. Fingers crossed there's still a chance I got in!

2017 Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Program
Perhaps someone on here can help me with some questions I have about Nurse Corps/HRSA! I am graduating from my MSN a year from now and am trying to make sure I choose a location that will be eligible for these programs. Despite there being plenty of low-income patient populations here (Milwaukee, WI) when I search for sites it only lists 5 or 6 clinics. Does this mean that those are the only locations that qualify in my area? Also, I read somewhere that Nurse Corps recipients have to work at an outpatient facility, but now I can't find that on their website. I was hoping to work in labor and delivery when I graduate, as I eventually want to become a midwife, but this is not considered outpatient, of course. Are any of you recipients working on an inpatient unit? Thanks for the help!
