  1. Hi! I'm a foreign nurse and I recently applied for NCLEX RN in California but I was told that my Surgical cases were not sufficient to meet their requirements. This really crushed me since I have a BSN unlike a lot of nursing grads from California who apply for the NCLEX RN who mostly only have a 2 year nursing degree. Also, I really need to work as a nurse since I am an immigrant and my family needs my financial help. California cost of living is insanely high. I have been thinking of applying for the NCLEX PN instead, on the chance that my credentials might meet their requirements. Can anyone tell me if I would still be required to file everything all over again or if there is an easier way for me to apply for to the BON since they already have my documents on file? Or is it better for me to apply for NCLEX RN to another state? Perhaps you have tried doing this before and could enlighten me on the subject... I would really appreciate some help, thanks :)
