I just spoke with someone in the Nursing department and she said all decisions have been made final and letters have been sent out this week.

You're right; it's only the beginning of the month! I am hoping that they take into consideration the pre-reqs being done and the additional courses including courses for the ABSN program.

I would check the application status of the one where it has a green check mark; if its for the Nursing program then you got in! I haven't heard of USM doing early acceptance in a while especially this early in December!

As long as the course covers USM's Human Anatomy and P I believe you are fine! If there were ever an issue they would tell you prior to submitting the application to the Nursing Department.

MCP17, I think you have a good chance of getting in based off your MS in PH. A C won't discourage the application process and since they usually go off your last degree GPA (your MS) you have a good shot. I have all the courses done and the lowest grade was a C+ with Chemistry in Health sciences here at USM. This will be my degree granting University and they will use my GPA currently for the process. Nervous. Two more months.

Oh yes. You do need to supply the sup application, resume and essay not just the common app.

I didn't even think there was an online application; I'm a student here and was told to mail my application, essay, and resume to the school.

You need to send ALL documents together at the application center post marked by October 1sr

Hey Sab, sorry been really occupied. That is a wonderful GPA, and you stated that you are currently taking the remaining prerequisites for the program? They favor those with a higher GPA to see how successful that individual may be in the program. I am currently a student at USM and I will be graduating this fall with a GPA that is 3.7; additionally, I have all the prerequisites and supportive courses completed.

Hello, for those of you applying for the ABSN-USM 2019 cohort. I am currently a student at USM-Health Science Major with a USM GPA of 3.7 with a 3.4 in my Pre-requesites and additional courses such as Chemistry and Human Growth and Development. I am wondering who may be applying out there to this program, and why? I am extremely nervous about applying and being rejected...it's never a wonderful feeling. I always wanted to be a nurse and I wanted this fast paced opportunity for years now since my military days. Looking forward to seeing the comments and who may be applying!

Yeah, I received the letter yesterday. My opinion on this is how it went for a week to one day, cost? Laziness? I am a bit confused.

I am signing for classes on the 24th, I kinda forgot my BLS certification (had to reschedule) so I take it the 22nd. And for spring admissions you will have to wait until later November early December for your letter.
