Rutgers ABSN FALL 2017
@lengland Yes, I did my undergrad at RU Newark. If you received an acceptance from both schools, I would highly recommend you go to New Brunswick. Apart from the nice scenery New Brunswick has, it is a much more friendly and safer environment. Within the last 2 years at RU Newark, there has been a plethora of crime reports involving students getting robbed on or close to campus. In fact, two students were killed in separate events on campus by outside criminal within the same time. My own car was broken into twice in the area during morning hours. So, yeah, I'm not saying it is EXTREMELY bad, but things do happen more often then not. I would go with New Brunswick. I'm actually going there myself having been accepted into both programs. Hope this helps. Good luck. - John.

Rutgers ABSN FALL 2017
Finally! Got my acceptance in the mail! Got in both schools. Will be heading towards New Brunswick. I did my undergrad at Newark, and I really need a change of scenery. Newark is okay, but there is way too much crime in the area. I got my car broken into twice in one year on campus! No way am I going to go to Newark all over again. Good luck to all! -John

Rutgers ABSN FALL 2017
Hi Vgiordano23! How are you? Do you recommend students apply to both campuses, (ie, Newark, and New Brunswick).

Rutgers ABSN FALL 2017
Yes, its true. Its not a bit ridiculous, its super ridiculous! I ended up paying other deposits just to stay on the safe side. I really didn't expect this from Rutgers.

Rutgers ABSN FALL 2017
Yeah, I ended up registering for it at a local community college. How about yourself? Do you have any missing pre-reqs? All ready to hear back from them? haha By the way, what's your background in terms of education? Did you attend Rutgers for undergrad or a different university. I would love to hear your story. Thanks. -John

Seton Hall CNL Fall 2017
That's awesome. Sorry, about the late reply, this website doesn't exactly tell you when someone has replied back to a thread. Any who, yeah, they did tell me they liked me as well during the interview, but not exactly in, haha. So, did you apply to any other programs at Seton Hall? I applied to the Traditional and Accelerated programs, and I am waiting to hear back from them! Hope all is well Christina! -John

Rutgers ABSN FALL 2017
You are right. I called them a few days ago just to make sure it was the right one. I am scheduled to take the class next week. It does not seem too bad. It is $75 for a course which lasts a day. Pretty exited to see what I learn from it. By the way, did anyone here apply to Seton Hall's Traditional and Accelerated program? I have not heard back from them yet. Although, I did get accepted to there Master's program in "Clinical Nurse Leader". Anyways, I hope you guys are exited as I am to start September anywhere, but more precisely at Rutgers ABSN!! -John

Taking classes at a community college is fine. By the way, guys, which certification do we need as a prerequisite to the program?

Seton Hall CNL Fall 2017
Thanks! By the way, when did you find out you got accepted? Was it at the end of the interview or a letter? I'm a new jersey native. How about yourself? Also, I do like the fact that it is a master's degree as well! I'm still trying to balance my options. What other schools are you looking at? -John

Seton Hall CNL Fall 2017
Awesome! I actually found out I got in. Are you 100 percent going to this school? I'm really excited I got into one program. It's a beautiful campus.

Seton Hall CNL Fall 2017
Awesome! Thanks! It's actually not my first choice. My first choice is Rutgers one year ABSN program. However, the one thing that I feel a bit iffy about this program is the cost of tuition. They say its about 90k? Ouch, lol.

Slow and clumsy...Can I pass nursing school?
WOW, JUST WOW. THIS IS GOING TO BE THE LAST POST REGARDING THIS THREAD. * She has a bachelors degree and she has been accepted into an accelerated nursing program. IF she's accomplished this much I am certain she can get through the program. Motor skills? Blah Blah Blah Repetition is the mother of all skills. If you do something enough times over a given period of time, you will eventually learn it and it becomes an unconscious act. END OF STORY. Please stop acting like nursing is ROCKET SCIENCE, because it isn't. It seems like you are a nurse and you want to "hype" your job and make it seem like its the holy grail of major accomplishments. To be frank, its not easy, but not exactly hard either! She's gone this far in life , so I completely ENCOURAGE HER to take the NEXT STEP in her Journey. FYI* Regarding my case. I applied to more than ONE SCHOOL. If you would have completely read my post on a different thread, which you snooped around to find. You would have realized I have applied to a number of schools but was requesting more information about a certain program.
