Hi I am a senior nursing student and I had a question about subcutaneous injection. So I was giving heparin 5000 units (1cc) SQ in left arm of client. I thought I pushed the medication all the way but somehow not all was given before I already removed the needle. Thus I had to change the needle and finish the dose by giving another SQ injection in another site, which is in the ABD. Is this considered a highly unsafe situation? Would the client be affected by this other than the fact that she had to receive 2 instead of single injection? Please answer and thank you.
