I took my NCLEX-PN exam on March 1 at approximately 10:30 am. I was given 150, about 40 select all, questions when the computer shut off at about 1:30 pm. I was convinced of my failure because select all questions are my weakness, so I went home all depressed and anxious! At around 6 pm I conducted a Google search on how to find out results before the 48 hour turn around given by Pearson Vue. The search yeilded a result telling of the PVT. Long story short, I was able to register and taken right to the payment screen. Supposedly if this happens it means you failed. Needless to say I was devastated to the point of tears! At this point my earlier feeling of failure was confirmed and I refused to check my results the next day on the Board of Nursing site. I gave my login to my friend because she was determined to check because she was convinced that I passed. I gave her strict instructions not to tell me anything. The next morning at about 9 am she called and when I answered all I could hear her saying was "Congratulations" over and over! The PVT does not work all the time so no need to get all worked up as if the NCLEX doesn't do a good enough job of it for us:) I want clarify that the PVT does not always work!!
