Yes, this is an assignment I have. The topic is "Nursing Inquiry: Advancing the nursing discipline-WHO?". I will be teaching about nursing leadership at all levels of nursing (student nurse, RN, NP, nurse administrator, President, manager, and etc.). I will talk about the personal, professional, and societal resources nurses need to demonstrate leadership within the discipline and to advance the discipline. Most importantly I must relate nursing leadership and its history to nursing inquiry and development of the discipline at the end of my class. To teach the class I must hit three ends-in-views. -- Describe individual resources, professional resources, and societal resources needed for knowledge development in nursing. -- Identify and discuss examples of nurse leaders in various domains of nursing practice that have contributed or are contributing to the advancement of the discipline of nursing. -- Brainstorm questions that might extend nursing knowledge and the discipline of nursing. Although I have a good idea of the first two ends-in-views, I was not able to find good articles or books that talk about it all. And I have no idea how to approach the third ends-in-view. With so many knowledgable nurses here I was hoping for some help and guidance. Thank you.
