Hello my name is Stephannie, I am currently completing my requirements to apply to a RN program. My GPA is at a3.5 and I still have a couple of classes to finish so that I can apply to UC and CSU. My goal is to attend UCLA or CALSTATE LA. I know my dream schools are highly impacted, so I'm trying my best to become a competitive candidate. On trying to do that, I am taking a CNA course to obtain my CNA license so that I can start working and gaining experience. The thing is I was once in a toxic relationship where I was charged with misdemeanor harassment charges which dates back two years. I am scared this can stop me from ever becoming a nurse. I can't come to explain how pursuing nursing has helped me get pass such painful experience. I don't want to stop going to school for nursing. I have a little girl and I know how hard school can be but I been able to do well. I'm working on improving my GPA. Also I'm a student worker for my school and I am in the Honors Program. Any advise? What can I do to become a better candidate.
