  1. Hi everyone I had a question. I am not in the nursing program yet but hope to apply in a few days for the fall semester. So I haven't finished all my prerequisites yet. I mean I have done Eng 1, Eng 2, General Psychology, Intro to philosophy, Microbiology and Lab, A&P 1 and Lab, so as you see I still have a few courses and wanted to know can I still apply because she told me that only my fall courses would be counted for evaluation. So even if I do take more courses in the spring it won't be counted. What would you advice? Should I take my chances and apply or should I wait? Also wanted to know if I applied and didn't get in do I get waitlisted or do I have to reapply the next term? How much does it cost overall to apply? Thank you
  2. Thanks alot Kuriin for your reply. My meaning of online was meant as a Hybrid College. I know i have to put some time for long shifts and heavy studying. I am still searching for the right college that can help me in getting my education as a nursing student and can provide me a Hybrid education. The colleges that i have contacted here informed me that their hours for nursing is from 8am - 3pm and from Monday till Friday also i have to commit to one day every two weeks to go for the Clinicals which will be for 12 hours. For that reason for me and the situation i am in, i cant commit to that much time in school and was hoping their is a school that can let me commit dome of it at home. Again thanks a lot for your post!
  3. Hello Everyone, I am new here and i have enjoyed and learned so much by reading many questions and answers in this website. Now it is time for me to ask my question because i could never find an answer to what i am seeking. I am a working mother of 5 kids, three are in school and two are not. I am 32 years old and after that long pause i now want to start what i left off years ago. Since i have two children at home I am trying to find a way that i can complete my degree online or at least a hybrid degree. I was told by a friend to get an Associates in Applied Science online and then i would be able to apply to a BSN Program with that degree and complete all my clinical hours. After the BSN program i will be able to take the NCLEX-RN Exam. Is that accurate? Has anyone done this before? If not what do you think I should do and how? For now i am in an online college (ESC) and I am taking courses that i know will be the prerequisites (HUMAN BIOLOGY, COLLEGE WRITING AND ALGEBRA). Although i want to know how to go through with my next semester. I can go to a campus but it would be extremely hard with my 5 kids. So online would be better choice for me. Thanks in advance for any help you give! :)
