Thank you for the comment! I'm actually a nursing assistant at the hospital right now in the "float pool" which makes the decision even harder since I know everyone on each unit! I'll keep your comment in mind as I try to decide though, haha! :/ Congrats on your nurse externship program as well! That is awesome
Thank you both for the comments! All three are at the same hospital which means same pay, benefits, and travel, etc. So far, I think I am leaning towards the cardiac or neuro floor but am still undecided. I will keep both of your comments in mind! :)
Hi Everyone! I'm looking for a little bit of advice....I've recently been offered 3 nurse externship positions for this summer. One is on a busy cardiac telemetry unit, another one is on a neuro unit and the last one is on a surgical unit. I'm having a bit of a dilemma because all three of these positions are great opportunities for me where I know I will be able to learn a lot! I graduate from nursing school in one year. I know that I am interested in working in a fast paced environment and am leaning towards eventually becoming an emergency room nurse but am still unsure. Does anyone have any advice or feedback on what I should do from your own personal experiences? Any comment is appreciated! :)
