  1. Hey CN101, this is a super late reply but the general education from is given to you from a regular academic advisor, I made an appointment with them to get it.
  2. @collny I just checked it out again, thanks!!
  3. Thanks @OMGitsMandyRae !! Do you happen to know what time I'll have to be there? And thanks @collny I tried emailing but they didn't get back to me and nothing was posted on blackboard either í ½í¸
  4. does anyone know where we are supposed to go for the first day of class if we have clinicals that day? Or at what time we have to get there? I know we are not supposed to go to our clinical sites so I tried calling the department but nobody answered.
  5. I just got the email! Does anyone know if we're allowed to change schedules?
  6. @Riccbonez I believe they had said at orientation to go back within a week.. I'm not too sure though, @Collny Thanks so much!! Btw does anyone know when we can officially register for classes? I know they said that we would get an email Monday but I tried registering right now and it actually let me haha
  7. Does anyone know if a BLS provider card would be sufficient to provide to the department for the CPR certfication requirement?
  8. Does anyone know how to get the Drug testing done or what kind of drug test is needed?
  9. I just got accepted to the generic program too!! Congratulations everyone!!
  10. Hello everyone! Has anyone heard anything back yet, or have been told exactly when they will be sending out emails?
  11. Hey Unique27! How has your experience in clinicals been? The thought of clinicals terrifies me haha! What do you have to do?
  12. haha thanks, I hope so! Your scores are really great, You'll definitely get in!! How did you study for the prereqs to maintain a 4.0? I'm trying to improve my study habits, I really want to bring my gpa up this semester, thanks!
  13. Thank you so much!! I'll be sure to check it out!
  14. I saw in another post a user wrote that they got a 79 in the critical thinking section and they still got in last year, I've heard gpa is weighed more heavily than the Hesi score so I'm sure you'll be fine as long as you have 80 and above! By the way do you by any chance know what the General Education Requirements Form is or where I can get it? The nursing application says a copy of it needs to be submitted and I'm trying to get my application ready for the deadline. Thanks and good luck!
  15. Oh okay I hope you're able to find convenient times then! I know lehman has offered some of the pre reqs mornings, afternoons and on the weekends. The Hesi wasn't as hard as I expected but I did study a month in advance, mostly for A&P because it's a lot of information. The math however, as long as you study from the Elsevier study guide, you'll be good to go! The reading comprehension wasn't difficult either, the passages were pretty short and the questions were usually straight forward. I would recommend you study a lot either way just to be safe!
  16. Hey Amberrae! Thanks for your feedback! I hope they are! I'm mostly worried about maintaining my gpa this semester As for the Hesi, I used a couple of different resources. I used the Elsevier Hesi A2 review book mainly for the math and reading comprehension. I also bought the McGraw Hill's Hesi A2 3 practice tests book and did the practice tests for the math, reading and A&P sections. As for A&P, I mainly used the Cliffnotes A&P quick review book. I read through all of it while also taking notes. If something didn't make sense I would watch anatomygmc on youtube. She's a professor who posted her lectures on youtube. I highly recommend watching her videos, she makes everything so easy to understand! I also bought an app called PocketPrep Hesi A2, which has practice questions for every section of the exam except critical thinking. This app costs 12 dollars but I definitely think it was worth it. The practice questions are really similar to what is actually on the exam. As for Critical thinking, I didn't really study for it because I didn't know how. However, I did see one picture that stated the priorities for nurses which was really helpful to remember for some of the questions. I would say just try to analyze the situation from all perspectives, think about all the consequences for each choice given, try to think about which patient would be most harmed if you don't attend to them first and also keep in mind the scope of practice for a nurse. I hope I helped and good luck!!.
  17. Hey FutureNurseInfo! Thanks so much for your feedback! I am currently a student there and from my experience I think Lehman is a good school. The professors I've taken have all been knowledgeable on the subject they're teaching and they're usually available for office hours and are willing to help if you have any questions. I take micro lecture and lab in the mornings(different days) beginning at 9:30am. The lecture lasts an hour and 40 minutes and the lab lasts 3 hours, however I believe they are offered during the afternoons as well. If you have any more questions feel free to ask!
  18. Im going to be applying to Lehman's Generic BSN program for fall 2017 and I was wondering what my chances of getting accepted are. So far I have a 3.73 pre req gpa and in the process of taking microbiology and organic chemistry lab and lecture. I hope to get it to a 3.8 if I get A's for these 3 classes. As for my Hesi score, I got a 92 overall, 92 for Reading Comprehension, 94 for Math, 92 for A&P and 90 for Critical Thinking. If anyone who has previously been accepted could share their stats with me that would be great! Also, if you're applying for generic Fall 2017 as well you're welcome to share them too so we can see how competitive this year is! I've heard 3.5 is the cut off but I'm sure it depends on the year. Thanks everyone!
