  1. So I had 5 interviews last month. I received a job offer right after my interview to the manager at an hospital at a different city (1.5 hour drive home). The manager has been great. The job is part time 8 hour shift. I took it regardless cause I was in desperate need of hospital job experience and, I feel I shouldn't be picky about this because I felt I fail my other interviews. So, I just sign my papers and did all the screening and passed it. Now, I'm officially hired and starting some classes this week. But that week when I was getting a job, I also received a phone call from a different hospital that wants me to work for them, once I pass the background check and drugtest ofcourse, and references check. The great thing about the offer is that it's 12 hour shift full time and it's closer to home so I don't need to move. Now, I'm not sure what to say or letter write once I managed to secure the full time 12 hour shift job. Again, i'm really 50/50 considering the manager on my part time has been great towards me. Help.
  2. Today I learned that FL state will join the other 20 states in Nursing Licensure Compact. Meaning, it will allow FL nurses to have a multi state license. My question is; I am moving in WA state this year. I'm planning to keep my FL license just in case I end up doing travel nursing or moving back to FL in a few years. They said that I have to be a permanent resident on a compact state in order to have a multistate license. My question is: Will I be able to keep my FL RN license if my address is WA state? if yes, will my FL RN license be automatically a multi state license once the NurseLicensureCompact take effect on December 31, 2018? Please advise. Thanks.
  3. Oh yea I can't be DM'd. My account is so new. OK I'll get back to you as soon as I met the requirements.
  4. Thank you. However, do hospitals tend to pay for your moving cost?
  5. I don't think I can direct message you but anyway, I am interested. Send me a message in this email: [email protected]. Thanks.
  6. HI, I'm planning to move in Seattle area middle of this year. I currently live and work in Fl for 3 years as an RN. Right now I work in acute neuro rehab in one of the renown hospital in Fl. My goal is to be in pacu/ critical care unit. My problem is I haven't had any constant medsurg experience (however, I get to be floated to medicine complex/ medsurg unit/ neuro medical unit from time to time when we have excess staff in our unit). My family has a house in Seattle so moving there from SE to NW won't be an issue. My problem is how easy would be for me to get a job there if I use my FL address ? Will they more likely to call me if I use my Seattle address instead? How is the transition from someone who came from rehab to critical care unit? Should I get a medsurg experience first? Thanks.
