got admitted as well! I got a call for a scholarship but couldn't pick up so I'm waiting on a call back. By the way, does anyone know how long the program is and if they are going to have an admitted students day? also, I submitted my application January 1st, but had my letters of rec in before then. My application was marked complete upon arrival of my last transcript on feb 9th. excited to meet you all!

Hi all! Long time reader, firs time poster. After going through the terrible-ish nursing application process, I've narrowed my choices down to Case Western's Masters in Nursing (not MN) and Emory's ABSN. Just some background - I have a non-nursing major and my end goal is to be a nurse practitioner. Both schools are "ranked" the same according to USWNSR (although I'm not sure how much this matters). So the question really is of which degree would be best in this case. A few of the MN courses would transfer to an MSN/DNP program so the MN program being 5 months longer doesnt bother me too much. I guess my main question is, is there any benefit to having that Masters instead of the BSN in terms of going into APRN? I've seen this question addressed on other threads, but I was hoping to get more input on the programs specifically to maybe push me over to one side or the other. Also, I'm a CA native and am hoping to go back to CA to work after some time - if anyone knows if one degree will transfer over better than the other that would really help!!
