I am interested in switching careers (am considering med school OR nursing with intent to become CRNA) - I have a B.S. and M.S. in speech pathology (an allied health). I have yet to take Organic and Physics (in the event I decide to take the MCAT) but am beginning to look at other avenues (i.e. CRNA!). I just turned 29, and am not so sure I want to spend the next 10-15 years in med school/residency! If I decided to pursue the CRNA route, I know I would need an RN degree - would I really need a BSN as well? Or, would it be best to find an accelerated BSN program and try to get in? I'm taking a year's leave from school (getting married in a few weeks and will need to work to pay the bills!), so I have plenty of time to think about my options - I just need some directive advice from those who are already CRNAs or in the process of becoming one :) Thanks!
