  1. My canelink status was incomplete prior to the interview. A couple of days after the interview, it was complete. My statistic class is 10 years old. I will be taking a statistic class in the summer to meet the requirement. I found out unofficially via canelink when my status changed from complete to accepted which was approx 2.5 weeks after my interview. I then got the official letter of acceptance via email that same day. Good luck to all you!
  2. SO i just created a Facebook account. Please add me to the group. Thanks!
  3. Great idea! I am from WA state. I don't have a Facebook page but will create one to connect with you all if someone decides to create one =) I super excited to start this journey!
  4. OMG!!! Just received mine too! SO excited!!!!! Congrats everyone!!!
  5. Anyone receive the official email or letter yet though?!
  6. I'm also in!!!! Woooohoooo!!!
  7. I see. I did not email the admission office. I contacted the Program Director instead. Will update you all when she respond back to me. I guess we will all have to wait for now.... *hoping for the best*
  8. So glad you are joining the discussion. I also interviewed 4/7 and was expecting to hear back last week. They told me to contact them if I haven't heard back by 2 weeks. I also emailed the PD last Friday. Got an auto reply stating that she is out of the office 4/19-4/23. I haven't received a response back yet. I am sure they are busy so I'll try to reach out again next week if still no response. When did you email them and when did you receive an email response? Like you and others, I too have been checking my status on canelink and email everyday. Another 2 weeks is brutal... Time just goes by so slow when you are anxiously waiting for something!
  9. I agree! Just be confident and know why you want to be apart of the profession. Know the patient population in the area you are working in and the treatments. Know the vasoactive drugs you commonly use in your ICU. Wishing you the best as well. I am still waiting for my decision response.
  10. Oh ok. I took mine in 2006. I need to retake it if offered a position.
  11. Questions for you all: have your statistics class been greater than 5 years and will have to retake it if offered a position?
  12. Parity. I was told the same thing-- to contact them if I haven't heard anything in 2 weeks. I did reach out via email. That's where I found out the PD has been out of the office. She'll be back Monday.
  13. I applied to three schools total. Interviewed at two so far. Waitlisted on one. Miami is my top choice so I hope all goes well. I'm very impressed with the sim hospital they are building! My interview didn't go bad as well I think it was alright. I interviewed with the PD and another faculty member. They also asked me about the capstone project.
  14. Emm08. Did they let you know when you can expect to hear back after the interview? I did a web interview and a watch the PowerPoint presentation video they sent me. It stated that decisions will be made in two weeks after the interview and they also stated that during my interview. Btw, How was the interview process in person?
  15. blasu-- your post just made my day! Thank you for words of encouragement and hope. I really hope we will get the opportunity to join you in the cohort so we can share our experiences with each other! Would love you know you in real life :). Apparently the PD has been out of the office for several days and will be returning Monday. It is safe to assume that decisions will be sent out next week. The wait will be worth it. Hang in there everyone! Blasu you you are the best! Thanks again!
