  1. Mix of both, mostly meeting times
  2. It’s ALOT of work. If you’re not working I think you’ll be fine. There are people who are working full time in my cohort as well. I think it’s definitely doable tho, if you put the time in you’ll do well but it’s a lot of work and time consuming. I’m in my 2nd semester of nursing classes, and I have one more left. I will the 2nd semester was a bit more work than then 1st semester. So I don’t think you need to take time off For my cohorts first semester of nursing courses, we had classes Mondays and Wednesdays and we had clinical the other 3 days, all virtual, but we did have to go in a couple of times
  3. If your major is nursing they will register you for classes you don’t have to worry about that part. Even the pre reqs they will register you for. It’s frustrating being in the dark but you will be in the classes you need to be in order to complete the nursing courses. You probably won’t hear anything until next month
  4. She’s right, this is how Monroe operates. Their main priority is not fall students right now, it’s Spring. That’s how it was put to me when I first applied. Im in my 3rd term here now. You probably won’t get concrete info until about 3 weeks before the semester starts, so sometime in august
  5. If you want to send me your email I can send it to you
  6. Yea I’m taking classes now. We aren’t taking any clinical. I was under the impression that it was a 1 year program too but we were told we can’t take nursing courses this semester because there weren’t enough people that had enough pre reqs (all the sciences) . I don’t think it’s truly one year. For the next 3 semester I’ll be taking 19 credits a semester, they said it can be completed in 4-6 semesters. But they have sent us a to do list of everything we have to get and do before start classes in Winter, get the school uniforms was one of them
  7. Currently I’m taking 15 credits, right now I’m taking the major related courses like (intro to health care, health informatics, etc.) next semester when nursing courses start I’ll be taking 19 credits. Next semester will be remote and clinical in school
  8. Hey I will be starting nursing classes in Winter 2021. I got my schedule and we have class M/W/F and clinical the other days. We were told this semester would be remote and we would be going to campus for clinical. I don’t know much more other than that
  9. LOL same!! So I literally just found out about this less than 2 weeks ago. My cousin is currently in their progressive program (lpn to RN to BSN). So I was gonna apply originally for Winter but I asked about fall and was accepted! Like you said, it is VERY affordable and ACEN accredited. School starts in 2 weeks but my cousin did tell me for the fall lectures will be online and clinicals in school, I heard they got a new dean for the nursing school so I’m sure things are changing. I don’t know much either
  10. Hey! Has anyone been accepted to this Monroe college program? I know they used to have it and recently bought it back. Any thought?
  11. I heard the WCC program wasn’t snt accredited. Is that true?
  12. I’m sorry that was a mis type, it WASNT soc 101. It was called sociology of gender, so since it wasn’t 101 I’m not sure if it will count but we shall see. I read for the day program you don’t need all of your pre reqs
  13. Thanks for the input!! It’s nerve wrecking but I have hope ? good luck to everyone!!
  14. Including nutrition and Developmental psych my pre req GPA is probably a 3.3
  15. I got a 77 on the Kaplan and I do have all of my pre reqs done except for Sociology. I have taken Soc classes in the pass but it was 101 so I’m not sure if it’s going to count. I also applied last min. In terms of my science press, they are all done and I got a B in all of them
  16. CONGRATS to you 2 that got accepted! Could you share with us how you did on the Kaplan?
  17. Was it an email or letter?
  18. When you guys say GPA , are you talking about the pre req GPA or previous degree GPA?
  19. I emailed for advisement as well a couple of weeks ago and never got a response. She also emailed me last week asking for my high school transcripts when I had emailed them to her the week before ?. I think they are just so backed up, so I agree with us just having to be patient. Side note. Did most people get in the 70s on the Kap exam? I scared that although I passed it wasn’t good enough ?
  20. Hey guys. Has anyone applied to both night and day program? I’m trying to find out what the real big difference is besides it being at night. Also has anyone received emails so far?
  21. I made a FB page, you should join! https://www.facebook.com/groups/520013852063187/?ref=share I am also coming out of state, NY. I didn’t receive any official things in the mail as well, but I did receive your email about Castle branch, which I think I’m going to start to complete in January. in terms of cost of living, through my research I also have seen that it is super affordable. I’ve been looking into Drake West Village, it seems like it may be the best so far! I’m not sure if I’ll be able to visit the city before starting the program, because I have a lot of events coming up that require a lot of money ?, which is another reason why I’m looking into off campus student housing. Have you heard from anyone who is in or completed the program?
  22. Hey Everyone. I wanted to start this for anyone who is applying or did MCHS ABSN program before. I got accepted into the Sp 20 program but deferred it to Su 20 because it was too late of a notice. Is anyone coming out of state? Also has anyone applied for their scholarships? If anyone has done the program already please drop some tips/comments below! Thanks
