  1. Thanks rnlab. Great idea!
  2. HoneyBadgerDont, I need to make 2 more comments on AN before they will let me respond to your PM. Almost cool enough. Anyway, I sent you a friend request on FB. Talk to you soon.
  3. Yes, I've gotten email invites to two separate groups from two different people, plus the invite to the page that was set up. The first group that was set up (by the guy) has 39 members, and the second group has 23 members. Weird!
  4. HoneyBadgerDont, have you gotten multiple invites to different SJSU nursing FB groups?
  5. Thanks again for taking the time to answer us, rnlab!
  6. Yes, that sounds right. My booklet for the class says "BLS Provider Manual" on the front.
  7. I took BLS for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association. It's a little more involved than the BLS class that is aimed towards community members. I have taken both classes in the past, and BLS for Healthcare Providers teaches you about how to provide BLS in a medical/hospital setting as well as out in the community. Hope this helps :)
  8. Hi rnlab! You are amazing! Thanks so much for hanging out with us newbies. Would you be willing to tell us a little bit about your first semester? How was skills lab? Were any of the classes easier or harder than you expected? Are there any opportunities to get involved on campus? I'm a transfer student, so any info you want to share would be awesome! Thanks for reaching out :) I know that there are tough times ahead. But honestly, I'm so excited to finally get started!
  9. Have any of you signed up for classes yet?
  10. I got in too! I got in too!! Woohoo!
  11. Welcome Lapao! For Fall 2017, SJSU adds two scores together. 1. GPA in composite of 5 prerequisite courses (Bio 65, Bio 66, Micro 20, Eng 1A, Stats 95). 2. Score on TEAS, divided by 30 (effective March 2016). It looks like your impaction score is 6.78 4.0 + 2.78 (83.3/30) I know of someone who got in with an impaction score of 6.45 last fall :)
  12. Same here! Can't wait to find out!
  13. Less than a month to go. Woohoo!
  14. Great scores guys! HoneyBadgerDont, your TEAS score is insanely awesome! Are you all transferring in from other schools, or are you already SJSU students?
  15. Hi Everyone! While I was wandering through the school section of allnurses, I was surprised to discover that a thread for the Fall 2017 program has yet to be posted. Well, there is only one way to remedy this sad situation. We gotta get this thing rollin' I thought it might be fun to get to know each other a bit, seeing as we could have some classes together in September. We could also offer encouragement through the long and arduous wait for our acceptance letters. In addition to those things, a few people (myself included) might be interested to see how the applicant pool is going to treat us this time around. I'm 10% nervous and 90% excited. Wait! Is it the other way around? Gah! Big 5 GPA- 3.85 TEAS - 93.3% Impaction Score- 6.96 Good luck! We got this!
