  1. Hi and Thanks so much for the reply!! I started to think that maybe they saw something in me that I did not see as they taught the stuff everyday.. and I certainly don't do very well with stress (I usually get sick)..So, knowing that, I put it on the back burner and took a full time position doing fundraising..I'm on the phone a lot and my days are quite busy- but I will say the change does feel sort of weird. After reading your post, though, I may reconsider and just finish school..I've done all the pre reqs...I just want to say Thanks again for taking the time out to reply-it means a lot. God Bless!!

  4. Hi..I've applied to two nursing programs got in with both, went to the orientation for both, omitted the first program because of the attitude of the program director. She basically told me I could leave if it got to be "too much" for me..So I never went back...the Program director at the second school I went to basically said the same thing..."I wouldn't want you to start and have to quit in the middle of it all and waste your time and money...But bring me your transcripts and I'll take a look at them anyway.". So, I showed her and she said I have a lot to transfer in...It would take a year and a half roughly to finish an ASN program...Now I have facial atrophy and was very ill in the past with hyperthyroid..Went for radioactive iodine then put on thyroid med daily and my levels are normalized..I'm wondering if my looks are throwing people off..I've been an LPN since 1980 and took courses since 1992..So I may just walk away as I am 60 years old....Let the young ones have their chance as I don't need the extra stress that I would be putting on myself..Thanks much for reading this and helping me hash it out. Anyone else going through the same??
