it's is so encouraging to hear how good everyone is doing. we already took our spring break, so it's all about having a strong finish now,next wk we have a lecture exam then another one in the same wk and in 2 wks, we have a muscle practical. i have a b average in my class now ( i've been stuck n a B grade in all my tests, can't seem to get pass by that grade) , with 5 test to go, so now i'm just hoping i can get it together n muster up an A avg. so, it's nice to hear succes stories, maybe i can 1 of them.

Hey, well I ended up making a B on my first test. I'm gladly taking that grade. On Mon. it's my first lab practical, I feel ok but kinda worried. I've got the microscope, anatomical names, positions, etc. down but what I'm kinda scared about are the slides over the different tissues and mitosis. It seemed ok and understandable when we went over those slides in class, but it's just that on web ct and our school's bio website they looked a little different and I'm afraid I won't be able to recognize which ones are which. can someone give me a good tip on remembering the tissues, oh and their names too.

hey you guys, nice to hear that some are to a good start, and for the others my sympathies are with you. well my first two days of classes have gone by fairly good. my professor is great, very cool and not scary. we are using Hole's edition for a&p. is anyone else? our first exam is nxt weds. but just on ch. 1, definitions, positions, and other relatively easy subjects. the one i'm iffy about is the lab practical, the labs lists are just long- so many words to know and remember. lets wait and see if my mind can hold itself together. hope everybody does well on their upcoming first exam or has done well if already taken one. :)

math has so far been a pretty good subject to me, so far. i'm leaning more towards taking statistics but i'm not so sure. can someone tell me about finite math. is it a little bit better or just equally tough as statistics. what's the difference between these two subjects. any and every advice appreciated.

hey you guys, for sure i'll be checkin for support. thanks for making this thread, very helpful. i've already dropped a&p before so hopefully this time around i hope i do better. my first class is in about 1 hr so i'm just sitting around being anxious until class starts. well i wish good luck to everyone and i think we all can pull it off.

no you don't have to. but i'm not going for my adn, just doing my basics at nhcc in order to transfer to nursing school.

i asked some my friends and the word was that either Mcdaniel or Barclay were really good teachers for chem 1. they and Owen also apply for chem 2. hope this helps.:)

well thanks for all those opinions. i think i'm going to take them seperately b/c i'm also going to take at least 2 other classes. so it'll most likely be A&P 2 and 2 or 3 other classes and not microbiol. i'll probably save it for next fall. but again it's not final until the fat lady sings.

hey, what is there to know about microbiology? what is the class like, how different or similar is it to A&P 1 or 2. what do you think, should i even consider taking microbiol and A&P 2 classes together or just a really bad idea? one of my friends is doing that and i'm really considering doing that as well with her.
