I was offered a position in the CICU :) I hope that yall get picked for your units as well!

I had my interview this past week also! I hope I get picked for the position! I wore dress pants, a blouse, and a blazer type jacket. I think the focus for this round of interviews is to determine if we have the right personalities and long term goals for the units we were selected for. They want to find people who they can invest in for future careers and not just for a summer.. Good luck with your interview Madison! Let me know whenever yall hear back :)

I just received a call that I am being considered for the Cardiac ICU at Egleston!

amlexi, my digital interview was December 15. I got an email requesting references last week, but haven't heard anything else since then. My status still says "under review". My friend got a call this morning that she is being considered for med/surg at Scottish Rite. The woman told her that each department does their selection process differently though (she actually never got the email for references - they are sending it out to her today). My email said that I will hear something by mid February if I am selected to move forward. Also, congrats nurseacorns! Very exciting! I remember reading that the externship does not start until the first week in June. And I believe it's 10 weeks long.

I did count the first day as one business day because I got the request for the interview early in the morning. I also got it on a Friday though so I had the benefit of having the weekend. One of my friends got her email for the interview at 5:00 pm though so she did not count it as a full business day..So I don't know! :) For departments, I said that I wanted ICU - specifically Neonatal or cardiac. My other request was for cardiac step-down or cath-lab. But I did follow up that I would be more than happy to work in any unit just to be exposed to any form of pediatric care. @rnmalo, there is a list that pops up during the digital interview, I just can't remember all that is on there - Off the top of my head I remember ICU, transplant, ED, hematology/oncology, Cardiac step-down, cardiac cath-lab.. I'm fairly certain there were more though. Good Luck to yall! I hope that you hear back soon!
