  1. I was just looking at this post and I had a question as well. I am an LPN recently graduated and looking to move to Florida from Canada. I have not taken my board exam in Canada and wanted to do that in Florida. I have really looked at the BON and they are saying that you need some OB/Peds clinical but i don't do anyone know if i will still be eligible to take the nclex there. i do have a lot more clinical hours than they require just not in those specialty area. any help will be grateful. thanks
  2. I know i have seen her thread but cannot message her directly to ask questions since that thread has been closed.
  3. yea i see that. i just cant believe that all the courses i took in the bscn is useless to me now, especially when i compare my courses to an adn in the states and i have every single course they require. btw i am not in the bscn program since 2014, thats what i originally took and had to drop and to go into the lpn program that im finishing in few months. but thanks for the advice
  4. i am taking the two year lpn program right now finishing in 2 months. I just have the first two years of the bscn program.
  5. Hi nurse Betty I saw your post and completely agree. Just because your an rn it doesn't make you more competent. So if someone was an recent lpn graduate in canada can you be more than an lpn in the states. Also what if you had two years in the bachelor of Science courses to add to that. Is it possible to be an adn? Any advice or insight would be greatful
  6. Ok thanks for the response. Even if I also have 2 years in the licensed practical nurse program. Which i completed btw Because I know in canada we only have lpn and BScN rn but in the states there's also adn. Would my education as a whole not qualify me to become an adn?
  7. I have two years of education in the bachelor of Science nursing in canada. Did not finish the whole program but can I become an adn in the states with that. Of so which state is easier?
  8. Hi nurse Betty This is an irrelevant topic but I really need some guidance. I am in the lpn program in edmonton finishing in 2 months. I also have 2 years in the BScN program in Ontario that I took before my lpn program (ps did fail two classes) was going through some things. Anyways I am wondering with my 2 years lpn diploma and my 2 years rn education could be qualified as an ADN in the states. If so which state would be easier for me than perhaps maybe later i can do an endorsement to a state I want to live. Plz help guide me.
  9. Well can any of you tell me if my 2 year lpn could qualify as an ADN RN in the states. Because I have been hearing that it could? Is it true
  10. Well I wanted to move to georgia
  11. I want to move to the states. I'm an lpn graduate and don't have my license yet. Any information would be great
  12. I'm very confused. I tried speaking to the Georgia bon but they were not very informative at all. I'm very confused and really need some clarity. What are the steps in getting a license in georgia. Where cab I send my transcript to see if I'm qualified as an adn
  13. I am an lpn student graduating in few months in Alberta. I was told that I can become an ADN in the states with that my lpn diploma. I took two years of the RN program in Ontario but because of family emergency couldn't continue so I decided to just take the lpn and slowly upgrade. So with all this education am I eligible to become an adn in georgia state? Ps that is where I want to move. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you
