  1. Hey Marie thanks for replying, I just called and asked and the ATI thing we purchased is different than the physical books we need. If you go onto the bookstore and enter in the two classes it will come up with the required textbooks we will need for class. On the phone they told me it doesn't matter if they are used too.
  2. Hi everyone, I just got into Fall 2017 cohort. I am currently looking to buy books for my first semester. We have Pieretti and Wells. I was wondering if you guys could help me, I really want to buy used books so I can save some money but I am worried that the teachers might want us to have the new codes to access it online. Did you guys ever need the new codes or anything for your first semester? Thanks!
  3. bburch, you don't need to take the placement test if you already took the english and math prerequisites, which I know you did if you got in! For me, I did all my prereqs at LMC so when I went to register at Delta it would only let me register for one class at first. I kept getting a "your waiver is full" message. So I had to email them and they were able to confirm my classes taken at LMC and open it up so I could register for my second class.
  4. Thank you for the info Kdevinva26! That helps, its nice to have some sort of idea in my head about what its going to be like. And now I know it just posted today but I already can't wait for them to send us the list of everything we need to get done!
  5. Gosh me either! I'm realizing all I've been worrying about has been just actually getting in, now I'm so excited to do everything we have to do before we actually start. Do you have any idea when orientation might be? I can't wait!
  6. And for all future applicants - because I know i have spent hours looking to see other people's points, I had 79 points on the application.
  7. Congrats Marie_6 and ikazemi91! I got in too! I can't believe it!
  8. Yeah there is, like they said in one of the emails they often take a lot of people off the waitlist. It just kills me not knowing for sure what our number is or if we'll even get in. That's what I plan on doing too - actually looking at places to volunteer at right now ha. That'll at least give us some extra points for the next time around if we don't get in. Did you apply to any other programs? I'm currently waiting on a few ADN programs, LMC and Delta mainly, so I hope I at least get in somewhere. I just want to get started so I don't get stuck in that limbo of just waiting to apply for the next year.
  9. Hi all, congratulations to all that got in! I got on the waitlist - lower third (#47-68). GPA: 3.87 TEAS: 90% No other points, not military. I am pretty disappointed but this isn't my #1, so I still have hope that I'll get into one of the other programs I applied to. And I don't know if it's just me but doesn't kind of feel like the line was a lot higher this year?
  10. Believe me I understand your pain. I accidentally hit "clear" on the ADN checklist and now it's gone, I feel like an idiot, but equally so I don't understand why that would be an option in the first place. Now I have to wait for them to re-upload it for me so I can find out what I need to send to them.
  11. Faith2BAnurse, I would call them or actually go in and talk to them. They have been very slow to reply to any emails. It could be a technical error.
  12. Is anyone else having trouble opening up their PDFs? I was invited to submit (YAY!!) but I still can't open up the PDF files to see the checklist. I emailed them and am waiting to hear back.
  13. I can only speak for what's on my page and what they slightly explained to me yesterday but ill try and tell you what it looks liked from my page. There's a big yellow box and underneath the box it'll tell you whether you were disqualified, rejected, or invited to submit. In the box, if you were invited, there should be two pdf files; one is your completed application and the ADN checklist. If say someone were disqualified or something, the lady in the health and science office told me that there would be a pdf with an explanation why. I was told we have to right click on the pdf files and hit "export field contents", but today it's still not working for me so I still can't read either PDFs. I emailed them and waiting to hear back how to fix this. I hope this helps!
  14. I actually went into the health and science department today to ask them, and they said that the application status opened too early and that it said disqualified for everyone and that tomorrow it would update and that we should be able to open up the pdf files. The lady there did tell me though once it opens you have to right click it and click "export field contents" and then download them to open them. Pretty frustrating that they did not send out some type of email to us this morning once they realized the mistake. I know it's not really their fault per say but still, to put us all in that type of worry for a good couple of hours, it was cruel! But anyway, I'm glad it seems to be being fixed. Good luck to you all tomorrow!
  15. Hi all! So I retook my TEAS test and I went up a whopping total of 3 points hahah but I'll take it. But like I said before I always looked at everyone else's stats so I'm going to update them. Pre-req GPA: 3.87 TEAS 90.0 No other points. Not military. Also make sure you guys check your emails because I recently got one from CSUEB saying that: if you needed to update your application for any reason to do for before the 14th and you have to make sure to hit the blue button that says "Update my Application" so that they'll see it.
  16. Yes that helps me a lot! Thank you! I am leaning more towards CSUEB now (again)... the commute to SFSU, i think, would be hell to do for two years. I can just see myself being so sleep deprived trying to wake up that early every morning. Plus I have heard soo many good things about CSUEB. Have you enjoyed it? As far as instructors and just the organization of it all?
  17. Hi all! Currently applying to nursing schools around the bay area and right now I am reconsidering which one my first pick is going to be (that is if I get in to them both!) For years I've wanted to go to Cal State East Bay (concord campus) because its so close but I am now considering going to SFSU because it is only a 2 year program, compared to CSUEB 3. Just getting to SFSU on a regular school morning will be about an and hour and half for me taking bart. Not so bad, but I can't really see where SFSU does their clinicals or what times students had them at. And that is what I'm worried about. I realize that each year they change depending on contracts etc. but I'm just trying to get a general idea. So my question is: if you or someone you know did the SFSU BSN (pre-lisensure) program where did you have to go to clinicals? And what times did you have to go, if you remember? Thank you!
  18. Hi all! I'm applying to CSUEB for fall 2017 as well, just wanted to drop off my "stats" here too, because gosh i cant count how many times I have gone through and read previous CSUEB students stats to try and see where I stand - just have to repay the favor! Pre-req GPA: 3.87 TEAS: 87.3 No other points. Not Military. I just retook my teas yesterday too, and am hoping to get a little bit of a better score but we will see! I'm really hoping to get in here or at least on the waiting list, this is definitely my first choice. If i do get in, I want to go to the Concord campus, only 20 minutes from my house (yay!!!) and my mom graduated from the nursing program there in 2011 and absolutely loved it there. But we will see! Good luck to you all, looking forward to hearing how many of you get in come May!
