  1. I know it's not going to be easy just like any type of work but I guess my fault was I didn't inform myself enough. I made a quick career decision right after graduating highschool. I did not open myself to various options. I wanted to go for medicine and am truly interested in the medical field. So I thought nursing is also perfect. Again you never really know whether you'll like something until you try it. I don't have a spouse but have my parents and sibling. It was my choice 3 years ago. I keep thinking maybe it'sthe medicine rotation I don't like. Maybe if I go further this nursing journey I'll find my niche.nursing is diverse. Thanks for you input.

  6. What does a Rehab Nurse do? Where do they work. What qualifications do you need to be one?
  7. How about general surgery units/day surgery General medicine?
  8. What is the difference between the two units in the thehospital?Which is more interesting In your opinion? Which do you think is more fast paced/demanding?
  9. I agree. Have o really get the most out of clinicals. Thanks for the input!
  10. Thank you. I'm halfway through my medicine rotation :)!
  11. How do you show your clinical instructor you are critically thinking.?I know in the busy unit you don't always get to see them but how can you be effective in showing them you are critically thinking. What are your views on critical thinking in nursing any advice?

  13. Any tips on time management? I am amazed how seasoned nurses have 5 pts and get things done in an hour in the am. They get charting done on time I know it takes experience and practice. As a student nurse, I on the other hand take 15 minutes to assess a pt I takes an hour to give meds and assess for2pts haha.
  14. Do you think you want your student to make suggestions on their plan of care for your pts and then you determine whether this plan of care is appropriate or is it enough for the student to relay pt information and then you decide what to do. I'm in a medicine unit and sometimes I fee like I don't give that much inputabout what to do with the pt and just follow the nurse instructions which is necessarily not a bad thing because I'm still a student and need guidance but I feel like I'm not critically thinking enough. What do you think hope I made sense
  15. What do you think is the most important thing a student nurse must do to do well in clinicals? What do YOU think is expected of student nurses if you are a buddy nurse or a clinical instructor? What are you looking for in the student nurse?
