  1. Hi all, I am planning on going back to get my RN and really have no idea on where to start. I have been an LPN since 2010, have worked in nursing homes, assisted living, home health and currently working in the insurance field. In my current position you cannot advance without your RN. My question is if anyone knows of a good LPN to RN bridge program? I live in Chicago and most of the nursing schools I have looked at don't have a bridge program. I really cannot afford to stop working to go to school full time so online and classroom would work for me. I did find a nursing school in Hoffman Estates called Ambria College of Nursing that offers evening and weekend classes but it is really far for me to travel to. Would anyone know of any closer to the south suburbs of Chicago? Any suggestions would be great!
