Dont worry you will find a school that will accept you if you are looking for a accelerated bsn program. I just got accepted to one and my gpa on my transcript is a 3.0, but I did good on the nursing pre-requistes, maily As and Bs. I graduated with a BS in Biology. I had a lot of healthcare and volunteering experience as well as research experience though. Dont get discouraged, you will get accepted :) I dont think its all about grades, you do meet the minimum of most schools in gpa wise and your grades on your pre requistes are great! Make a resume, put down your experiences, show them who you are as a person. I feel that grades arent the only deciding factors here and that your experiences can change it around along with a personal statement and letter of recommendations from people and professors who know you well as a person and student! So have some hope and put your best in application! You sound like you have military experience, and a lot of schools value that! It shows perservance and commitment! So give yourself some credit! Kudos to you :) As for your restrictions for your military programs?....I dont know any accelerated BSN programs that dont cost more than $15,000 as the one you specified. I live in New Jersey and have only looked into NJ and PA schools and the range for prices seem to be 40k to 60k, some schools Ive heard on here charge 70k, and there may be a few if you are lucky charge 30k for the program. I think the route to do a associate RN degree at a community college is cheaper and then do RN to BSN may be a cheaper route but its longer though. I havent done research on it but I have heard nurses and people who went through that route said it easier. The programs I got accepted to were Drexel and GMercyU, but I decided on Drexel since I heard great things about it, its close in terms of commuting (35 minutes), alot of people have said they felt prepared as a nurse and alot of successes on the NCLEX-RN (97-100% pass rate) and the faculty was nice. GMercyU was the reverse i heard based on reviews ..set a lot of red flags when I contacted them, I think I would suggest to stay away from that one... But i wish you good luck on your endeavors! Hello, I got accepted into GMercyU for the accelerated BSN Program and I am happy for it. But I am waiting for the decision on Drexel 11 Ace program. My application was finished on October 24th. I am just worried and anxious on if I will get kn not. I dont want to wait any longer, but I really want to get into Drexel Ace BSN Program. I just dont want to hold off for the accepted position and then if I dont get accepted into Drexel, I am out of a seat. So Im just worried and anxious and really want to know I have a seat secured. I have applied to other schools like Holy Family, Felician University, and Jefferson but havent heard anything back. For any attending or previously accepted Drexel Ace applicants, how long did it take to receive your notification on accepted or not? I applied for the Fall 2017.

I am worried if my stats are good enough of getting into a accelerated bachelor of nursing program. I have applied to a total of nine schools and I am waiting to hear back from them. I am 22 years old, and my GPA is a 3.0, but the nursing pre-requisites, I have mostly As and some Bs for them. I have graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. So my main focus were in mostly science courses in which I did relatively well just my other non-science courses I had received a few bad grades in. I do have a lot of volunteering and working experience. I have worked as a cashier for two years and a secretary at my university and now I currently work as a Emergency Medical Technician at a transportation company as well as volunteer over at my nearby EMS squad for about a year now. I am a assistant director at a daycare center and have worked and volunteered there since 2008. I volunteered as a in-patient rounder and a receptionist at a hospital for a total of three months. I have done two summer research internships, one at RowanSOM and the other at Nemours as well as I have done research for about a year and half with a professor over at my university. I am in the process of being a co-author of a published scientific journal article. I volunteered as a Sunday School Teacher Assistant as well as a Computer Technician over at my church. I also volunteered at a nursing home. I was treasurer of my Pre-Allied Health club. Do I have a good shot of getting in? Or is there anything that I need to work on to increase my chances of getting in?
