PRN or part time?

Hey, i will be a nurse a year in june............i work on med/tele and I know I dont want to stay full time. I plan on going prn but a friend told me going part time is better........because you can keep your benefits. I like the idea or prn because I have more freedom over how much i work ( the minimum is 16 hours a month and 1 major holiday/1 minor holiday a year) plus you get paid more..........insurance will cost u more and you get no PTO, holiday time, benefits, etc. I would like to work in a different area........I havent secured another job as of yet so i would like to stay prn at my current job....I just wanna work enough to pay my bills........I dont like my job and I want to try a different area. So the thought of prn is exciting to me.......its not as much commitment as being a full time employee......with part time you can have benefits but i just dont like the idea of having to work so much when I want to pursue another area....help!
