Private circulating nurse

Published

Has anyone ever heard of a doctor having a private circulator that is an employee of either the hospital or the doctor? I have heard of private scrubs only. I ask because I have a doctor that is moving on from our facility and wants me to go with him as his circulator. At first he was saying I would be an employee of the new hospital but only work with him...which I told him I doubted that would ever happen. He seems confident though as he is highly sought- after. The second option is for me to be his employee as a private nurse but I have never seen a hospital allowing this either. Does anyone have experience with this?

Thanks

Hi, I know this is random but I have a question for you about MSU. I'm not sure how to send a private message of here, but if you know how can you please write me back. Thank you!! I really need some advice before I apply to RN-BSN. Thanks!!

I will send you a private message and see if you can respond. Towards the top of the page there is a light blue bar with a red box that will have a "1" or another number indicating the number of notifications you have. Click on that to get it. Or, the little mailbox to the right of it.

Where I work there is a nurse that works for a specific Dr. in his office, and when he is at our hospital doing cases she seems to always be in there. I'm sure the other hospital can make it happen for you, but does he do enough surgeries there for it to be worth it for you? Everyone has their own rules...double check before you go!
