Has anyone ever heard of a doctor having a private circulator that is an employee of either the hospital or the doctor? I have heard of private scrubs only. I ask because I have a doctor that is moving on from our facility and wants me to go with him as his circulator. At first he was saying I would be an employee of the new hospital but only work with him...which I told him I doubted that would ever happen. He seems confident though as he is highly sought- after. The second option is for me to be his employee as a private nurse but I have never seen a hospital allowing this either. Does anyone have experience with this?
Thanks
