Hello,
I am new to this site so forgive me if I have posted this question in the wrong area. I am a U.S trained RN preparing to take the CRNE in Canada in a few weeks. I have been studying a Mosby CRNE Prep guide as well as the CRNE Prep Guide from CNA. I do not feel this is enough. I am having a hard time finding a resource for Canadian lab values and tests etc.. If there are any nurses or U.S. RN's who have taken the CRNE could you please share what resources have helped you the most. I am getting overwhelmed with what I need to focus on as I have been told the NCLEX is very different than the CRNE.
Thanks for you help!

The CRNE is very different. I have taken both. The NCLEX is much more medical and the Canadian exam is more about teaching ("What is the most important thing to teach a pt who is taking Warfarin" and the answers will all apply but you must pick the most important... stupid because I always said a good nurse would do all of them) and A LOT of therapeutic communication skills ('What is the best thing for the nurse to say to the patient or family, etc.), along with the nursing skills. I know every year they ask about the new CPR guidelines... compressions to breath ratio was the one I got. There was a lot of "What should the nurse do first...?" ALWAYS ABC;s. A nice few questions about symptoms of electrolyte imbalances. I'm sure this doesn't help 'cause the info is so broad but good luck! I used mosby's too... but it's been 7 years...
