Practicing to take the NCLEX

As I studied to take the NCLEX-RN, I was a bit nervous at first because I just didnt know what to expect. Now that I have taken and pass the NCLEX-RN I could honestly say, that the HESI and NCLEX 3500, 4000, questions seem to be a little more in depth than the actual test. Practicing put me in test mode, so it is real good, but for content not so good. I expected more med/surg type questions, however, I received more delegation, priortity, and mostly infection control. This seem to be the theme this season. So read Saunders for content, but I found that studying for the NCLEX was not so useful, because the nclex is seeking for application I found that basic, simple knowledge was not helpful. I suggest practice, practice, practice, just keep answering questions....to get use to the way of NCLEX thinking. The day before the test, lay off studying and practicing....DO SOMETHING TO RELAX, WATCH A MOVIE, GET YOUR HAIR DONE, JUST DO SOMETHING OTHER THAN STUDYING. Good luck and I hope this helps.
