Can someone tell me why we are to keep BP's on the high side post stroke?

The higher the BP, the more perfusion to the brain, which has already been damaged.

Specializes in neuro, ICU/CCU, tropical medicine.

IMO, the best source of information for stroke on the web is/are the American Stroke Association/American Heart Association. You can download articles from those associations journals ('Stroke' and 'Circulation') free.
