Possible job change?

Hey everyone, I've been a nurse for 4 years now. The past 2 years I have been working as a postpartum and newborn nursery nurse. Before that my experience was in LTC, psychiatric care and rehabilitation. I love my current job and my coworkers, they have been extremely supportive to be during dramatic life events (e.g. family death, pregnancy). However; I am considering leaving the job to do an LDRP position. Reason being, I am going back to school to be an NP at the end of the summer and I want to build as much skills as I can, I want to feel completely well rounded. For the most part, postpartum is a healthy transition. L&D do tons of IVs and foleys etc where as on postpartum we can do if of course but its very seldom. Basically I want to utilize my skill more.

The only thing that I'm weary about when considering this job is that the pay is less by $1.50. At my current position we get a night shift and weekend differential whereas the job that I am considering, they only do a night differential. Human resources said they are working on potentially increasing their pay scale so it could very well change. Basically I would be going from almost $31 per/hour currently to just under $30. It would be the same hours and everything. I have always wanted to do LDRP, labor and delivery was my first choice actually so I have that option weighing on my mind to. Please let me know if any of you all have gone through something similar or if there is any advice that you can offer on the situation. Thanks!
