Portage Learning Classes

Hi, I am trying to figure out which science course to take online through Portage Learning: 1) microbiology, 2) general chem, or 3) anatomy & physiology II.

The other two will be taken in the class room this summer or fall, but I need to take one class NOW to apply to the program by June 1st. Has anyone taken any of these online and if so, which would you recommend? I only have 8 weeks to complete the course. Thanks all!

I took my A&P's through Portage Learning and I thought it was a good program. I can't speak to micro or chem. I know A&P is a 6-module course with 8 labs, so if you're going to do it in 8 weeks you're really going to need to buckle down. I found the modules on the urinary system/water & electrolyte balance to be quite challenging and it took me awhile to get through it.

Thank you! They all make me nervous but it looks like A&P II has 2 fewer modules and labs than chem and micro. I'll probably go with that and get it out of the way. Wish me luck!

Hi emmjayy, My name is Natalis. I read that you were going to start taking micro through portatge learning. I was wondering if you finished the course?? I am having trouble with Lab #9 on micro and have been stuck on it for 4 days. I was wondering if you could provide me with some guidance and help please!!

- I hope to hear from you soon. I can send you my email so we can communicate better

Best, Natalis
